This single malt is a good introduction to malts on the salty side. Some refer to the nose as that of a Band Aid. That may be true, but it shouldn't prevent you from trying Laphroaig. After all, caviar doesn't have the best nose either but it's absolutely delicious.
Whisky: Laphroaig
Region: Highland (Northern)
| Nose | Peat, Band-Aid |
| Body | Sharp at first then becomes more smooth |
| Palate | Salty, Citrus, Light Smoke |
| Finish | Short |
| Comment | Smoother than one would expect from it's nose and palatte. |
