How the Scotch Chix Hooked Up

One might wonder how women from opposite coasts ended up joining forces in the search of the perfect single malt. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, here is our story.

The Scotch Chix have many acquaintances but few individuals worthy to be called "friend." Moreover, couples whose personalities and preferences make them both candidates for such status are an extreme rarity. Consequently, the Scotch Couples are always on the search for possible playmates. 

CA Scotch Chick was, therefore, delighted when her Scotch Gent returned from a trip to DC proclaiming that a new business colleague and his lady were candidates. He wound up an enthusiastic description with the following statement, "You know, I think we may have found some friends. She is a no sh*^ chick just like you. The only problem is that they drank wine at dinner. I gently probed about their single malt preferences and although the DC (not yet Scotch) Chick hasn't really tried it, she seemed open to the idea."

So, when the two Gents teamed up to host a conference on the west coast, it presented the perfect opportunity to bring the ladies together, and introduce DC (not yet Scotch) Chick to CA Scotch Chick and the concept of single malt whisky.

The Scotch Chix met over lunch. As the keynote speaker droned on over the rubber chicken, CA Scotch Chick casually whispered into DC (not yet Scotch) Chick's ear that she would be hosting a Scotch Session in lieu of the scheduled wine and cheese, and perhaps it might be a good idea for the ladies to slip up to the room a little early for some intimate imbibing. 

When the Gents and other worthy individuals arrived hours later, DC (now) Scotch Chick wrapped her arms around her Gent with huge grin and flushed face. When he asked what she had been up to she gushed, "I don't know if it is this gorgeous weather, the glow brought on by that awesome Bruichladdich 10, or the stimulating conversation, but all I can say is 'Wow!'" 

The CA Scotch Couple invited their new playmates to stay the weekend to take in the sights and sample single malts. That weekend and those bottles of scotch were three wonderful years and many many bottles ago. By the time DC (now) Scotch Chick and her Gent winged their way back to the east coast, the DC (now) Scotch Chick had found her most worthy drink, and the Scotch Couples had found their most worthy friends.
