Travel Report from Paris: The Forum

When one thinks of French spirits this time of year,  one thing immediately springs  to mind: Beaujolais Nouveau.  Don't despair.  If you are  in the city of lights, you don't need to limit your options.  The DC Scotch Couple didn't and couldn't be happier.  In need of a drink after a day of work, the DC Scotch couple took the advice of a co-worker and headed to The Forum.

Just off of Madeleine Place, you can find a venue that brings swank to a whole new level. With dark interior, soft, low chairs, and an immense array of malts, the Forum beckons those of us who cannot stomach the sickly cherry of the Nouveau.   For a bar, the Forum had a superb selection of single malts.  If one can't find something of interest they can head over to La Maison du Whisky. However, then you will wait till you return chez vous to start drinking.

The DC Scotch Couple unfortunately did not take a picture of the exterior but they did snap a shot of the menu.  Their photo does not do justice to the establishment, and they certainly hope that you will stop on in to experience The Forum for yourself the next time you are in Paris. They were so impressed that they forgot what they drank.

Remember to bring some extra Euros, though. Swank comes at a price.
